A tour company John long worked for had a new cruise of the Greek islands-using a small luxury yacht- the “Christina”-which Aristole Onassis named after his daughter. Seeing an opportunity to market his very Greek sounding song- John changed the song’s name –originally entitled “Camelback” to “Christina”. A copy of the song was to be sent to travelers as a momento of their trip. Unexpected events of late 2001 caused the trip to be cancelled, but the song lives on !
