Spoon River Rag ( instrumental )
John had a folk-rock band in the late 70’s called the Spoon River Band. He took the name from Edgar Lee Master’s “Spoon River Anthology”- a collection of folk-tales of life in early America. The second connection was to John’s habit of taping a bent spoon his mike stand –to hold spare guitar picks. He choose it as the name of this mandolin "foot-tapper"for it's American bluegrass style.
